ZimJourney immersion trips.
Cross-cultural immersion — small groups who travel alongside our Zimbabwean partners and learn far more than they teach.
ZimJourney is our short-term immersion program — small groups of travelers who spend ten to fourteen days alongside our Zimbabwean partners, sharing meals, working on whatever's on the project list that week, and traveling under three guiding principles we've held since the beginning: we go as learners, we go as students of culture, heritage, and faith, and we go as receivers as well as givers.
Over twenty-plus years we've hosted seventy-five-plus participants. Many have stayed connected long after the trip — as donors, as repeat travelers, and in some cases as board members. Travelers also encounter our partners at the Zimbabwe Theological Seminary, whose leaders have been a steady presence on our journey and now join us regularly on calls home from Harare.
