In-kind giving
Our partners often ask for specific items — medical textbooks, school supplies, or equipment that would be cost-prohibitive to source in Zimbabwe. If you've got something useful and shippable, here's how to get it to them.
Subject to change — please email us before shipping.
Medical textbooks (recent editions, especially primary care, OB/maternal health, and nursing references)
School books for primary and secondary grades — math, science, and English language texts
Basic medical supplies our clinic partners specifically request
Sporting equipment for the school in Gokwe (footballs, jerseys, durable balls and pumps)
Sewing-machine parts and notions for the vocational training program
Books — they're durable, lightweight, and the partners we work with reuse them for years.
Durable equipment our Zimbabwean partners can maintain locally without specialized parts.
Things that have been specifically requested. We share the partner request list with anyone who asks.
Used clothes — local Zimbabwean markets handle this much better than transcontinental shipping ever could.
Perishables, expired stock, or anything that won't survive a long sea or air transit.
Anything our partners haven't asked for. Unsolicited gifts create storage and disposal problems on the receiving end.
Email contact@journeypartners.net first with what you have, and we'll arrange a drop-off location or a mailing address based on the item and the next outbound shipment.
We don't publish a public shipping address because we coordinate consolidated freight when volume justifies it — there's no point sending a textbook by international mail when it can ride along with the next ZimJourney trip in three months.
